A blue and black logo for iow group

New local business - global customers

The IOW Group was formed to promote its innovative and patented centrifugal oil separator. Although a small new business, there prospect base is international with multinationals as key targets for conversion. Competition is with much larger, well established businesses so it was important that all marketing communication demonstrated that this was a solid future-proof company to be relied upon.

Visual Brand elements

The only parameters were that it should tie in with the Isle of Wight's diamond shape and that it should also work with the blue already used for the product.


A brand system was developed that was consistent, professional, and flexible, encapsulating the diamond shape of the IoW without being clichéd (the diamond shape has been used relentlessly for Island businesses over the years) and one that worked with the existing product color.

We created a suite of product and marketing assets. The IOW Group is moving away from print altogether, with interactive PDFs being the preferred route. Most assets are moving towards 1080p for easy use on any device.

Using animation and video to engage with new customers

Creating engaging content that can be used across multiple channels is a must for businesses of all types and it's been great to help the IOW Group create a suite of video content

We created the campaign that launched the IOW Group's new ground breaking filtration system at SMM Hamburg. Creating the name, teaser animations, the main product animation, brochure and web content.


From an initial brief of how the product worked we developed a storyboard for the main animation. Imagery was taken from this to create the PDF brochure and exhibition graphics.

Product Renders

We render products where possible. Their engineering team supply a STEP file, and from this, we drop it into a ready-made 3D environment and apply materials.


This provides a more flexible solution for imagery. If they need alternative views or cutaways, the virtual studio is set up for us to create any view required without setting up lighting, cameras, and getting the actual real (heavy) product into the studio.

We designed and built the website with a flexible and easy-to-use CMS that has allowed the internal marketing team to update news and add content as and when they require.

Product Renders

We render products where possible. Their engineering team supply a STEP file, and from this, we drop it into a ready-made 3D environment after applying materials.


This provides a more flexible solution for imagery. If they need alternative views or cutaways, the virtual studio is set up for me to create any view required without setting up lighting, cameras, and getting the actual real (heavy) product into the studio.

We created a sub-brand with the name Alloy and its own brand mark, signed it off with "Stronger together."


Content was created and used across the web and digital communications.


Five social 1080 square animations were created, pulling out key messages for each. These could then be rotated over the year to get ROI and keep the messaging fresh.

Exhibition graphics

The IOW Group exhibit at shows around the globe and required a flexible and cost effective display solution. We provided all artworks for their chosen supplier. The range was also translated into Chinese, Spanish and Japanese for local markets.
